Watch Gone With the Wind online freeThe civil war shattered all the dreams of young Scarlett in one blow. So many hopes for love and happiness, and now instead of merry balls and meetings, only ruins. The carefree days of a young, ambitious girl were over, and she had to survive in a completely different, cruel world, where chaos, murder and violence reigned. Possessing an unfemininely strong will and character, Scarlett is ready for anything to survive this terrible time and achieve happiness, if not now, but certainly later. The meeting with Captain Butler flatters the young beauty, but she, hopelessly in love with another, rejects the scandalously rich Rhett. Or she is disingenuous with herself - after all, she likes his attention so much. There are many difficult days and tragic events ahead that will make the girl think and rethink her life and views.
Ekaterina Bugakova (Sobchenko):
"Gone With the Wind".Many years ago I bought this book by accident, knowing absolutely nothing about the content or the author. And I read it all in one night. The book shocked me. I have read it over and over again, and this has been the case for many years. When you read a book, images of heroes form in your head, their appearance looms. But when I saw the film, I can no longer imagine my favorite characters as others. How delicately selected the actors, how polished and polished each scene. Captures from the first frames and no longer notice the time, you just disconnect from the outside world and enjoy the film. Today I just got great pleasure from the amazing duplication (I used to look with another duplication)! The actors are wonderful, no words. Of course, not everyone likes the characters. How could Scarlett like a man like Ashley Wilkes? It's a rag. He hovers in some of his virtual worlds, mutters something about honor and duty, but in fact he is a faint-hearted weakling. Educated, no doubt about it. I express my opinion, someone may think differently. And this Ashley Wilkes has not changed over the years, does not learn anything in all the squabbles and situations in which he finds himself. It just goes with the flow. And how Scarlett is changing! And Rhett Butler! These are the people, these are the characters! And the final phrase "Tomorrow will be a new day!" Someone may be disappointed with this uncommon "happy ending" for love stories, but in a few words such wisdom, such power of the main character is conveyed! Melanie Hamilton is a good person, but such people do not discover new worlds, it is convenient to live with them, but you do not want to dream with them. I will not retell the plot even briefly, it is better to see once than hear a hundred times. But I sincerely envy the whitest envy of those who have not yet read this book and have not watched this film! Lucky ones, what delight awaits you!
The film "Gone with the Wind" is considered the bestseller of the world film industry. After all, this is the first pre-war film in color. This is not some cheap romance novel, but a real masterpiece. This film won eight Oscars and for twenty years no one has been able to break this record. I saw this film for the first time at the age of 15 and it stuck in my memory. Sure, it's hard to sit four hours watching, but it's worth it. Until now, if there is a broadcast on TV, I cannot help but watch this masterpiece. Despite its length, the film looks very easy and you don't notice how time flies by. The creators of the series very well managed to betray us that era of the civil war, all the people who were able to survive it and what was happening take off during this period. We have to learn the life of one beautiful young girl Scarlett from a good noble family. She is the main character of the series, her role was brilliantly played by Vivien Leigh. At the beginning of the story, she is only sixteen years old, quite flirtatious and surrounded by great care of parents and servants. She has one dream, one might even say the purpose of life, to marry Ashley Wilkes. We will see what it was like before the war and what it became after. What she learned from a difficult life in an era of collapse and disaster. The film will describe in great detail the story of her love. We will have to watch how she changed some values of life for others, the war completely changed the outlook on life and instead of the frivolous girl Scarlett, an adult and strong woman appears in front of us. She is now ready to do anything, for the sake of her loved ones and relatives, for the sake of her homeland, she will make any sacrifices. Another aspect is that this girl never throws her words down the drain and always keeps her promise. Of course, many of her actions are not worth approval, but with all this, it is clear that everything was thought out and calculated from her earlier. She herself is very strong for the entire duration of the series, we will see how Scarlett will have to give birth to her sister Melanie and at the same time not lose your composure.Scarlett will have to fight off various marauders and deserters in every possible way, who are ready to do anything for the sake of some trinket. She will work in the fields, picking cotton and bleeding her tender hands and starving after the sweet years of her life. She will survive everything in her life: the death of two husbands, parents and even her children, and one who was not even born, the loss of friends, the support of her society, but even this will not give her up. She lives by the principle tomorrow there will be a new day, when it will be possible to decide something. The main trait of her character is strength, resilience and grasp for life. The next main character in the picture is Rhett Butler (Clark Gable). Some women consider him just the perfect man, handsome and rich. Of course he is a bit cynical, but determined, brave and enterprising person. He is the personification of all positive human qualities, he just breathes with some kind of sexuality, but only his reputation is not good. Almost at first glance, he fell in love with Scarlett, but did not show it to the last. Yes, and Scarlett herself does not pay attention to him, she constantly rejects him and he is even unpleasant to her, because of her unrequited love for Ashley. Rhett Never could afford to hurt her. He perfectly understood Scarlett, knew how to deal with her, knew that if he could give a slack somewhere, he would lose it forever. Throughout the film, he does a lot of good deeds and saves Scarlett's life more than once. Rhett often ignores the opinions and orders of the surrounding society. In order to achieve any goal, he does not choose and does not spare any means. I want to touch on another character who played an important role in the film, Ashley Wilkes. He is Scarlett's first love from a very young age of fourteen. He just lived in his own little world, is a good shooter, gambler and rider. He loves to read, he is attracted by philosophy and literature. He could afford it since he is a fairly wealthy planter. During the war he was an officer and rather brave. After the end of the war, he found himself without his wealth, his plantations were destroyed, and the slaves were freed from slavery. He was simply lost, he could not start a new life, he could not adapt to it, there was no entrepreneurial acumen in him. He understands this very well and this makes it very difficult for him. There is only one woman who was able to pull him out of oblivion, where there were a lot of rich people in the South - and this is Scarlett. He really wanted Scarlett, but only physically, and he had to marry Melanie Hamilton and as it turned out later it was his fate, and after her death, he realized that true love was still Melanie. The entire Ashley series is presented to us as a contrast to Rhett Butler, as Melanie, Scarlett and Rhett says. These two are approximately the same age, they have the same social status and the same upbringing. Here are just completely different views on duty, conscience and honor, on all norms and morals of society. Even if all this turns out to be wrong, Ashley cannot step over herself, Rhett can simply not give a damn about all the foundations. And all this will be confirmed in similar situations in which these heroes find themselves. During the war, Ashley goes to battle, but only does not quite agree with her goal, he always wanted to free the slaves after his father dies. Rhett at this time found a gold mine in the rise in prices of some goods and became a smuggler. In order to earn money Ashley is difficult to use the labor of those exiled to hard labor, he is ashamed to accept any help from a woman. Rhett calmly, without a twinge of conscience, is engaged in trade with both his people and enemies, everyone despises him for this. Ashley constantly rejects all of Scarlett's offers of marriage, escape, sex, but wants it, only because of his family, wife and child, he cannot afford it.Opposite to this, Rhett, he just immediately offered to become his mistress, Scarlett and then his wife, even without a twinge of conscience on the day of her husband's funeral. For the entire time of this novel, Scarlett, before Butler, had only two husbands, Charles Hamilton and Frank Kennedy. First husband Charles Hamilton simply idolized Scarlett. She agreed to marry him out of anger at Ashley, just in this way she decided to take revenge on him. But as soon as the war begins, Charles goes to the front and there he dies an absurd death - not from a bullet, but from a measles disease with complications. The second husband is Frank Kennedy, he was the fiancé of Suulin, Scarlett's sister and the owner of a small shop. It was for this that Scarlett married him to herself, so that she had something to push off from to start a commercial activity. She then dismisses Frank altogether. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and because of one attack on the tent city, he is killed. I would also like to note with great pleasure the sister of Charles, the wife of Ashley - Melanie Hamilton Wilkes. This woman is very kind, trusting and gentle, she is just a standard of calmness, loyalty and complaisance. Rhett Butler always used her as an example for Scarlett, calling Melanie a real lady. Melanie never takes rumors seriously, especially those that defame Scarlett. Melanie is a very pure soul, she believes in true love and friendship. But her naivety and gullibility spoiled her life more than once. She is weak to some extent, but very generous. Only with her Rhett was able to calmly talk and be frank. Melanie is pretty, loyal, real, and there is not a drop of self-interest in her. And it's a pity that she dies so early. And finally, the tragic character of Bonnie Blue Butler. She is the daughter of Rhett and Scarlett, but Eugenie's real name is Victoria Butler. The name Bonnie Blue was given to her by Melanie, because the girl has blue eyes, similar to the national flag of the country. It was very hard to watch the scene when she died at a very young age by accidentally falling from a horse. From this, tears well up in my eyes. Rhett pampers his beloved very much, even for her sake, for the sake of her future, he steps over his principles and manner of his behavior. Becomes an honest democrat and makes friends with everyone. But only after the death of Bonnie Rhett "goes crazy" with grief, and Scarlett blames her husband because it was he who taught the baby to ride. Gone with the Wind is not a trivial love story, there is a bit of vitality here. There are no empty romantic stories from which there is no use, there is only true love that cannot be described. Simple love is actually diverse and complex, it's just sometimes quite difficult to figure out who you really love and who you just want. This film proves it to us once again. At the beginning of the film, you expect only one thing from Scarlett, that here, here she will love Rhett Butler and that's it. But in fact, it's not so simple, she actually tried to remain faithful only for another person, whose wife was just a good friend and helped her in all matters, but at the same time deeply hated in herself. Only then she herself realizes how wrong she was about the captain, who was selfish and handsome, but loved her madly and rarely showed his feelings. You have no idea how I want to tell you the whole story about Scarlett. But this will be a complete retelling of the novel and there will be no special meaning in watching the film. Although no, words cannot convey all the emotions, expressions of faces and eyes, and indeed all the fashion and clothing styles of that time. There are so many wonderful moments in the film that show us how sometimes it is difficult to step over our pride, the opinion of others, for the sake of our homeland. Of course, the war was very cruel, of course, some believed in their victory, while others knew about their victory. But we see all the same a happy family in which even the servants live well, and the slaves do not complain. Of course, throughout the film, the impression of him was constantly changing. There was pity and some kind of sympathy for poor Scarlett, and sometimes irritation with condemnation for her selfishness and immoral behavior. Rhett Butler evokes the same attitude. Naturally, in their place I do not want to represent myself, so there is nothing to judge about moral qualities. It is impossible to explain the actions of a person, they often contradict consciousness and not everyone, looking from the outside, can understand them. The musical score for this film is very impressive and amazing. Everything is very remarkably juxtaposed with the plot of the film, it perfectly complements all the actions that take place in it. Now I will summarize. This novel tells us about some of the events that took place during the Civil War of the North and South America. Events spanning twelve years. The film begins very beautifully, we are shown a huge cotton plantation called Tara, in a place in Georgia. By the way, the film ends as well, but everything is in disrepair. And it is Scarlett who stands in the place where her father once told her that she would love her native place, but only everything in due time. The ending impressed me a lot and immediately prompted me to watch the continuation of the story about Scarlett and her Rett. But that's a different story. So the ending Scarlett realizes that she really loves Butler, but he is tired of hearing about Ashley and he spits on everything and leaves. And Scarlett is crying and now realizes the strength she can only give her home Tara. She will go there and there she will think and decide how to get her husband Ratt back. And he says his favorite phrase: “I will think about it, but only tomorrow. Another day will come. " In Scarlett you just fall in love and at the same time hate, and to the point of admiration. These conflicting feelings are always there throughout the film. And this, for me personally, not one film has caused. "Gone with the Wind" is a real classic, for that time it was just a cinema bomb. Gorgeous special effects for that time, because there was no computer graphics. This film can be safely put in the category of all time. There is not a drop of vulgarity here, everything is very noble. I don’t feel sorry for the time spent, especially since the film is light and time flies by. The whole truth of life is shown here, of course in places cruel, but this is how it is in reality. This is not a simple love story, this story cannot leave you indifferent to everything. This is a true masterpiece of cinema. I strongly advise everyone, I am sure you will not be disappointed, unless you are generally not an opponent of old films and reality. And I also advise you to read the novel by the writer Margaret Mitchell, everything is described in more detail there. Dear moviegoers, sit back and enjoy four hours of delight as you watch this great, magnificent piece. Enjoy watching everyone.
Today my review will be devoted to the series, which I have watched a huge number of times, and I will watch the same number of times, knowing the whole series by heart, I still find it interesting. I can never deny myself the opportunity to watch Gone with the Wind, every new one, I watch it with pleasure. I cannot name at least one other series that I would love in the same way and watch the same number of times, because this simply does not exist. I do not even dare to attribute this incredibly historical and touching film to the series. For me, this is a very high-quality and incredibly beautiful film, with its own whole story. This series was released on television screens in 1939, and certainly conquered many thousands of viewers. Naturally, at that distant time, filming with voice acting was just beginning, because before that all the series had been filmed without words, and it was customary for the actors to play and convey emotions with the help of their facial expressions and gestures, and especially with the help of facial expressions.I can say that I not only watched this series many times, but also read several times an absolutely amazing and simply unique novel written by Margaret Mitchell. When you read something like that, you understand why this novel had to be translated into so many different languages, but it really was translated into 37 languages. As for this series, for me, just like the novel, it is the most beautiful creation. This is not just the story of the series, it is a story that conveys many different nuances of the history of the United States of America. In my opinion, this series based on the famous novel has become so popular among viewers for a reason, it is a real bestseller in its scope. I read somewhere that the novel itself was, we equate critics with the famous novel "War and Peace". Whether it is true or not, they know better, but I like the show in the series that it demonstrates not just the story of one southern girl, but also describes a whole separate era of time. In which, with stunning truthfulness and realism, the characters of that time are presented to us, scenes of war are described, as well as nature is demonstrated. The series "Gone with the Wind", filmed, as you know from the novel, but few people know that this novel is the only one of its kind, the creation of Margaret Mitchell, which she wrote for ten long years. Honestly, I don't understand how you can indulge in your favorite pastime for so long and responsibly, how you can write one story for so many years, how you can not abandon your business halfway through, okay, if it was only one year, but ten years. This is truly a dedication that deserves some praise. This novel was incredibly successful, it instantly sold in millions of copies, and at the same time, all over the world. This wonderful novel deserves an award, and that also means something. It was for this novel that this wonderful series was filmed, and had as many fans as the novel. I cannot say that this is a series, it is more suitable for viewing, for the female contingent, for example, I know many men who are also fans of this series. Therefore, I cannot understand the statement of many viewers who write that this series will be of interest only to housewives and old women, and normal people and men will not watch it. It seems to me that a lot of interesting things are demonstrated in the series, which will be pleasant to watch not only for women, the main thing is that there is a story, even if its main character is a girl, but the plot of the series itself is very fascinating and intriguing. It is well shown in which life situations there is a presence of weakness, where there is a line between heroism and madness, and most importantly, it demonstrates the real power of true love. The series is really amazing, it seems to me that it is the most, that not to eat, legendary and passionate, life story that shocks everyone who has ever watched it. This is the same series that is loved by the viewer, so much so that it is reviewed almost every year. The only thing that the series lacks is those numerous details and episodes that are in the novel, I don't know for what purpose, such fragments were simply cut out of this script. And this, in my opinion, is superfluous, because then my series would become even more interesting and longer in time. In the history of the series, they nicely complement the whole picture, or, so to speak, the whole basic essence of traditions, the essence of the morals of a secular society, as well as the severity in the upbringing of real and true ladies of girls who would worthily bear the title of pile. The main character of this series is Scarlet O Hara, she is a whole era of that time, which many sought to imitate, which they loved very much and were proud of. It was she who became the real ideal for many women, who knew how to be weak, and, if necessary, to sharply become strong.Watching this series, I was continually surprised by the persistence with which, our main character, nevertheless achieved her goal. The plot of this series tells us about love, and about war, and about betrayal and cruelty, about loyalty and the true beauty of our life. This is exactly the series to which after a while you return again, with a desire to refresh your memory, to see your favorite movie heroes again, to plunge into the atmosphere of their life again, to see how the main character, in spite of nothing, lives her life filled with difficulties, all this is demonstrated in this series. The main character in the TV series "Gone with the Wind" is presented to us in some truly improbable way. He is bright and deserves to be admired. The main character of the series, Scarlett, is in constant struggle, with all the misfortunes that come her way, and only thanks to her character and her grasp, contrasting between white and black with all the moral foundations of the public and social obligations, she always finds a way out in the situation. In this series, it is described in stages how certain characters overcame all stages of becoming personalities. Even if the main face of the series is our incomparable Scarlet O Hara, there are other characters in the series that are also very interestingly demonstrated. So, for example, Wilkes, her image, completely opposite to the image of the main character Scarlett, but, nevertheless, only both of them are demonstrated as an example of strong and very bright women of that time. Although our heroine can in no way be called a person who thinks about war, she is not a patriot, although, of course, she has a bright negative towards the Yankees she hates. But she has her own personal views on this, because it was the Yankees who snatched from her the familiar and expensive way of pre-war life. And now, she is forced to starve and survive, in this terrible and alien world for her, to fight not only for her life, but also for the life of her family, to independently deal with who is right and who is to blame. In her twenty years, this heroine, decides and makes decisions not according to her age, even if she acts calmly and prudently, but this is what helps, she will cope with all the situations in life. Our young girl from the upper strata of society has to independently, far from her home, fight hard for her life, on the already very plundered territories of the estate. This civil war, which was full of temptation and limitation in everything, helped to reevaluate all standards and stereotypes, to believe in one's own strengths and to find true commitment. I liked her image, I do not understand those who write so much negative in their reviews towards her heroine, could not they really feel the essence of what is happening, see what the author of the series wanted to show us. Yes, there are small disagreements on what is happening, in the series and the novel, the plot line in the series is somewhat changed from reality, but this can only be seen by those who had the opportunity to read the novel by Margaret Mitchell, but, even in spite of all this, this plot course of the series, it turned out to be very beautiful, very truthful and intriguingly interesting. The main character turned out to be memorable, bright in every sense, the image of a strong woman is embodied correctly, she is incomparable and domineering over all life's adversities. In this series, the line of behavior of our heroine is very well outlined, showing us in what situations she shows some kind of weakness, and where, on the contrary, there is the very edge of her heroism and even madness, and it also shows how she knows how to love, that for her this word means. I liked the way in the series the wise sayings of the main character are demonstrated, her words on the series can be described as the words of a strong woman who does not lose heart under no circumstances. These words and some episodes from the series helped me more than once in my life. When I first came across Gone with the Wind, I read it to death. He seemed to me so brilliant and vital that I just couldn't stop reading for a minute. Then after some time, I saw this series for the first time, and the actress Vivien Leigh, who performed this heroine, struck me with her beauty, both external and internal. The only thing that seemed to me was that the novel describes the character traits of this heroine much more vividly. In the series, she is presented as a controversial girl, with a very charming and attractive appearance, with an amazingly radiant smile and eyes that are always sparkling with joy. From the very beginning of the series, like a little radiant imp, restlessly and noisily welcomes guests to her house at a party, but where, long before that, as a child, it was she who stood out from all her sisters. And perhaps it was only later, when life changed, and the fate of the main character no longer looked like an eternal noisy holiday, but only volleys from shots were heard all around, there was blood and violence everywhere, she was able to withstand and not break. For me she is a character with a lively and resilient character, unshakable and sane mind. I can also characterize the characters with such qualities, which personify many other characters, especially women. In the series, the understanding is perfectly given that everyone will have to pay bills for everything in our life, and this payment sometimes has the highest price, such that the main characters cannot even imagine. If, by some incredible coincidence, you have not yet watched the series "Gone with the Wind", or have not read Margaret Mitchell's novel "Gone with the Wind", I will briefly describe the meaning of the plot of this series. So, in the plot, we are told a story about a young and very cheerful person named Scarlett O'Hara. She is very beautiful in appearance and is liked by many men, and that is why she flirts with many of them every now and then, but in fact, she is in love with only one person who does not care about her. Living in her own, completely calm and seemingly protected world, she considers herself the center of the whole environment and the whole world, but everything changed with the advent of war. Our heroine will have to endure multiple deaths, two of which will be her legal husbands, even if she did not love them, but still. As well as the loss of their parents and the death of their beloved daughter. And despite all these life's difficulties and troubles, her heart harbors love for someone who does not love her, namely Ashley. I don’t know how anyone, but to me this character seemed weak-willed and weak-willed. If in the novel he is described a little differently and the idea of him is also different, then according to the storyline of the series, he always caused me only pity. So, deluded by the thought that she loves him, poor Scarlett lets true love pass by, and realizes this too late. And she really loves her husband, whom she lost purely only because of her stupidity. The main character in the face of a man, in this series a character named Rhett Butler is presented, it is he who is that third husband, our heroine. I really liked this hero, both externally and in character. This hero of the series is beautiful and bright in his performance, it is he who loves Scarlet with all his sincerity from the very beginning of the series. It's so sweet when you see them together in the series, what a touching relationship they have, how he treats his wife with care and awe. Looking at this hero, I forgot about everything in the world, reveling in his charm. How he played his role in this series, with what feelings in his eyes he looked at the main character, how beautifully and tenderly he called her a stupid fool, it is impossible to forget.I can rewind several times to those fragments where this couple is shown together, while realizing that there are not so many such episodes in the plot of the series. Every time I watch this series and watch the episodes when the daughter of Scarlett and Rhett Butler dies, I burst into tears. Because it is unbearably painful to look at how the father is killed from grief. At these moments, I sometimes hate our Scarlett O'Hara, for her callousness and composure in what happened. So, this series ends with the phrase of the main character, which sounds in this series more than once, and, as it seems to me, is truly a catch phrase that can often be heard from the lips of any person, and it sounds like "I'll think about it tomorrow." ... To my regret, the ending of this series ended on such sad notes, when we remain in some indignation, wanting to know how the life of our main characters will turn out in the future. Somehow, it turned out to describe the whole essence of this series, these are just small sketches of its plot, in fact, there are a lot more intriguing moments that are worth seeing with your own eyes. The plot of this series, curls quite impressively and fleetingly, the actions replace each other, intriguing thoughts about what will happen next do not leave the mind until the last minutes of the series. When watching a series, you do not observe how quickly time passes, but this happens only when watching something overly fascinating, and this series is completely like that. I did not notice negative situations in the series, not now, not earlier, although I watched it a huge number of times. All the characters, both major and minor, look vital in the series, as if they are not playing, but simply on everything, living their usual lives. In terms of the quality of the shooting, this series is very colorful, bright and well filmed, it looks quite pleasing to the eye, without straining with something unnatural and poorly executed. In conclusion, all of the above, I can say that the series "Gone with the Wind" is a masterpiece for me. As I said above, I read the novel based on which this series was filmed, and most likely I will read it again more than once. It contains almost everything that happened in the novel by Margaret Mitchell. Why I wrote almost everything, it is because, for reasons I do not understand, the plot of the series was slightly redone, and even if this is just a little, but still it is so, and those who had such happiness, in the form of reading this wonderful novel, he will understand what I'm talking about. I also repeat that I do not understand those people who write nasty things about this series, insulting the main character, misinterpreting the meaning that the authors of the series presented to us. It is clear that this is a personal opinion, and it can be different for each person, but it seems to me that before writing such reviews, it would be better to read the novel by Margaret Mitchell itself. And it is possible to understand what kind of person the protagonist of this plot was, every character there is more deeply demonstrated than it is in the series. Yes, she may look a little cruel in some cases, but this is only to show that sometimes life forces you to make tough decisions and establish some rules, and all this must be done with a cold heart and a pure mind. While I am writing my review, I again had a desire to read a novel or watch this series. This series is not one of those that, having watched it once, there is no longer any desire to watch it, no, this series can be watched many times, for example, I watch it once a year for sure. And once every two years, I pick up a novel, Gone with the Wind, presented in two volumes, which is always in the most honorable place in my room. This novel is especially dear to me, since it was once presented to my mother, and only later, she gave it to me, with the words that this is the best and most worthwhile novel of all that she had to read. And since she is a fan in this area, and she has a pile of a small library of the most chosen, bought, donated or brought from other countries, this is a very valuable thing for me. My mother does not share my pleasure in watching films, even these amazing ones. She is a lover of good books, and always believes that reading herself, holding a book in her hands, is much more interesting than watching everything that happens on TV. But as I wrote above, everyone has their own choice. This series is perfect for watching all families. And it is not true that it should not be given to children and adolescents to watch, as I read in someone's review earlier, because there are no vulgar or explicit scenes with erotic content that they should not watch. Now there is more vulgarity in cartoons than in this series. On the contrary, it seems to me that it will be pleasant for adolescent children, and especially girls, to plunge into the atmosphere of this series, which is simply soaked through with the deepest meaning, where mistakes made due to youth and naivety are perfectly shown, but at the same time, it is demonstrated that despite all the misdeeds, one must be strong and not lose heart. Well, I finished my drawn-out review of the series "Gone with the Wind", I hope that I clearly expressed my thoughts on this series. I recommend this wonderful TV series for everyone who wants to relax and enjoy an amazing story about true love.
"... I'll think about it tomorrow .." (Scarlett O Hara) Speaking of Gone With the Wind, the first thing that comes to mind is simply a masterpiece. Such brilliant films have not been filmed for a long time. And those that are filmed will remain in the hearts of the audience forever. The film adaptation of Gone with the Wind in 1939 is my favorite film, the trail that it left in my heart and in my memory can not be replaced, perhaps by anyone. I can't believe it was filmed like that once. I watched him for the first time when I was very young, but the impression that he made on me was not able to produce more than one film later. The film "Gone with the Wind" is such a brilliant and bright film that, perhaps, this is the rare case when I like the film even much more than the book. I don't think there will be at least one person who can say something bad about this film or find at least one "minus" in it. More than once I heard what they say about this film - "Gone with the Wind is a film, when you watch which you just cry." This is what they say in other film projects (and note not in one) - and the most important thing, because they are not at all cunning. Because I always cry when I watch this movie. Only those actors could play so brilliantly and only in this film. With each viewing (and I have watched this film dozens of times), I experience all their adventures with the main characters. It is impossible to perceive everything in the film the same every time. Once, when I was little, it seemed to me that "Gone with the Wind" had a rather sad ending. Still, what could be sadder than a beautiful love story that ends one day with misunderstanding. But later, after a certain time, you clearly understand that the one who believed that the love story of Rhett Butler and Scarlett O Hara ended on the day when Rhett left the common house for the last time and disappeared into the fog hanging over the city was wrong. Not. It would be logical for an ordinary movie, but we're talking about a masterpiece. And we're talking about Scarlett O Hara. She will never allow her beloved man to leave her life. Because Scarlett O Hara is not the kind of girl who gives up. D and Rhett Butler simply cannot live without her. Their love for me is like an example of the most beautiful and long-suffering love, for which it is worth fighting. I can't help but single out Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh. Playing characters like this is so amazing.Once upon a time I read that they actually constantly argued and swore during the shooting and at the same time were so sincere in their emotions on our television screens. Generally speaking about the cast, I would not single out someone separately. Of course, the main characters played very expressively, but I cannot say that someone else in this series played differently. But let's do it in order. I don’t want to be diffused and talk about how wonderful it is in this series, but I can’t fail to mention it. I'll start with the plot. The whole plot of the film revolves around the life of a half English woman, a half Irish woman Scarlett O Hara. Her character can only be envied. No matter how she behaves, she gets away with everything for her charisma and charm. She is very beautiful. All the men around her fall at her feet, be they mature men or very young guys. Scarlett skillfully uses her charm. And it looks so feminine and so cute. The film captures several periods in the life of America. Initially, we are shown how real aristocrats have fun and how they live. This is their entertainment and just hobbies, including balls and horseback riding. Already after some half an hour of viewing, a civil war begins, which will follow the entire film and it is she who distorts many destinies. In general, of course, the way the beginning of the war is shown is simply beyond praise. Somewhere people start to panic, but they still do not fully realize what happened. Men without exception are taken into the army. Girls cannot contain emotions and tears when they are waiting for any news from the front. These are very important events that take place in people's lives and cannot but leave an imprint on their future future. Who would have thought that the same performer of the leading role, Vivien Leigh, was at the time of "Gone with the Wind" not yet an experienced young actress. After all, she could not have passed the casting and then we would not have recognized the real Scarlett, whose trail absolutely no one could eclipse in the future. Vivien Leigh is an unusually talented actress and it was in this film that she revealed herself to me from an unusual perspective. I can't say that other actors played worse. Everyone has done their part very conscientiously. Just look at the same Melanie. This is a girl of the purest soul, who has become a real friend and outlet for Scardett. And even if she at first used her for her own selfish purposes, but it is absolutely certain that the openness and the sincerity with which Melanie treated Ashley Wilkes and Scarlett herself simply could not help but bribe and melt the heart of the main beauty. I cannot but mention Mamushka. This is a woman who was essentially engaged in raising girls in the OHara family. It is no coincidence that this particular black actress was given, if I am not mistaken, the first Oscar. She played just amazing. Her figure is very colorful, although the role does not imply a special story for her, since she performs the duties of a maid, but that she, that Big Sam, these figures did not pass without leaving a trace in Scarlett's life. Having watched this film for the hundredth time now, perhaps, I want to dream and re-read Mitchell's book again. And already reading the book, you imagine the characters exactly as Sem Wood and Victor Fleming showed them to us. George Cukor. Scarlett's character has always piqued my interest in this story. After all, even if the actress were not so beautiful, she could not have gone unnoticed. Why? Because she has a lively character that distinguishes her from the prim British and high society ladies of Atlanta, sparks play in her eyes. By the way, her look is worth special praise. Scarlett is like no other for Rhett Butler, a man who is not accepted in "decent society" not because he is bad. but because they do not understand it. Comparing him with some other hero, I would draw a parallel with Geoffrey De Peyrac from the same "Angelica", whom everyone envied because he was very smart and knew more than others in the field of alchemy. And realizing what the main characters are like, you just can't believe that their story can end somehow. They will always reach out to each other. What we saw in the continuation of this brilliant series called "Scarlett". In general, it seems to me that this story is not so much about love itself, although a lot of attention is paid to it here, but also about how to go through all the trials and not break your inner spirit. Just watch the moment when Scarlett comes to Rhett Butler in jail. She did not humiliate herself in front of him, in order to come fully armed in wartime. Mamushka altered the curtains that hung in their house into a chic velvet dress. And this move would certainly work if her husband was the same Ashley Wilkes, but no, Rhett Butler cannot be fooled. I am amazed at Scarlett's courage and brightness. In those days, one could not have expected a declaration of love from a girl, and even so openly, as Scarlett did at the ball in front of Ashley. Or it would be wrong to behave in some inappropriate way. I've always admired the character of Vivien Leigh. Everyone always condemned her, but they could not refuse to accept her. If before his marriage to Rhett he was considered some kind of inappropriate man in terms of the fact that he was not a gentleman at all, then after marriage, Scarlett became such a red rag in society. Take Melanie Wilkes' funeral. Everyone understood perfectly well that Ashley could do things out of grief and fall into the grave of his wife, but according to the rules of etiquette, one cannot stop a grieving spouse and everyone looks calmly. Everyone except our brave girl Scarlett. Of course, absolutely everything in this film captivates. From the very initial credits, which even more resemble the beginning of some theatrical performance (and why is it not filmed like that now?). Perhaps, I will also note for myself that despite the fact that the film was shot almost a hundred years ago, it was one of the first to be released in color. For me, he is a winning performance in front of many modern films. There are absolutely no special effects here. Yes, they do not need anything. Just look - what a variety of shades the color of ladies' dresses shimmers with in high society. It's just the whole palette of colors. And the road to Tara? The sky above the family nest O Hara-Tara? I have never seen a more beautiful vision of nature in a film. This is one of those films in which nature scenes do not strain. but rather, on the contrary, they fascinate and give true pleasure. Looking at the same Tara you understand why she is so dear to Scarlett. Is it possible to betray this land? I can't help but admire that. how brilliant this movie is. I am writing about him and are simply overwhelmed with emotions. How I always wanted to be like Scarlett O Hara - because she is a real woman. In the shower, a very sweet coquette with beautiful greens. You will not expect rudeness from her for all her strong character. I would even say that she is cunning and sly, but all that does not spoil her in the eyes of the audience, but rather, on the contrary, adds fans around the world. I believe that hardly anyone will dare to replay this adaptation, despite the fact that it is a story that is a priori doomed to success. And not only because the story is filmed according to one of the most gorgeous books. Just look at how many topics are raised in this film. As I already wrote above, this is love. That love that is so completely obvious to others or to viewers at the screen and so secret for the hero himself. The feeling of patriotism is not alien to them either. Look how Scarlett O Hara fights for her native corner - for Tara Nobody and nothing can take that land away from her. This is quite obvious. And it would also be worth paying attention to the hardened character of the main character. After all, from the very minutes it is clear that Scarlett wants to be like her mother Elin in everything. And that incomparable seasoned lady. But unlike Scarlett, Elin would not have coped with all the trials that befell her youngest daughter. In general, while I am writing my review, I still restrain myself not to start describing all those actions of the adventure and events with which this series is so rich. Why am I holding back? Because if you want to describe something, you cannot describe it in such colors, in which you will see it on the screens. You can't fully capture the atmosphere that brings me back to watching Gone With the Wind over and over again. This is a golden classic of Hollywood. In my personal opinion, nothing better has been filmed since then. As much as we praise the current films, but they are nothing compared to this adaptation. The series is dynamic. There is not a single minute that would make you bored or try to switch. On the contrary, I am always very sincerely worried. Each of my viewing is like viewing for the first time. How brilliant this film is, is simply incomprehensible to the mind. It has won many cinematic awards, but the greatest reward has always been the love of the audience. It is impossible not to note the ending once again. For more than half a century, they have been arguing about how this story ended. I have never liked films with an indefinite ending. But this cannot be attributed to the TV series "Gone with the Wind". Here everything is quite appropriate and exactly how it should have ended in order to leave a memory and a mark in our hearts. I will, of course, recommend it as the most amazing and most rewarding film I have ever seen. It is quite long in time, since the time of its viewing takes about four hours, but you will spend this time with such pleasure and with such a range of feelings that you simply cannot remain indifferent to this film project. "Gone with the Wind" is a classic, a masterpiece that will stay with us for all time. It seems to me that such stories about people will never be removed. We'll live, of course, we'll see. Thank you for your patience while reading this review. I tried to be as short as possible. Perhaps I'll revise the picture with Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable again. Enjoy your viewing too.
