TV series Spartacus: Gods of the arena: watch online for freeThe series is a prehistory to the main plot of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand". We are transported to a time when Kapaya is at the mercy of the cruel ruler Quintus Lentul Batiatus. He longs for glory, and therefore decides to return the former glory to his country and thus carve his name in the history of Kapai. Batiatus revives the gladiatorial battles that were once held in his house, which turn into a truly bloody action. In his aspirations, the ruler is supported by his wife, the insidious schemer Lucretia and her friend, the famous seductress Gaia. While the gladiators are fighting, politicians "fight" on the other side of the arena. The main hope for the revival of gladiatorism is the skillful warrior Gannicus. He is strong, dexterous, enduring and has excellent command of weapons. Batiatus makes big bets on this craftsman. He trains the fighter hard, improving his skills. However, there will be those in Kapaya who want to put an end to the ruthless ruler and his cruel games once and for all, despite the invincible Gannicus.
The site sizonvar.ru just in time offered to watch the second season (although it is better to call it a spin-off after the first season) of the "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" project. It is after the starting season that it is necessary to start watching this series, because only here all those secrets that were obscured in the original are revealed. And by the way, watching the continuation of the main storyline will be much easier when you learn about all the events of the spin-off. So, I will tell my story about this series on behalf of a person who has already watched everything, knows how it will end, so let's decide that this review will be read mainly by those who are not afraid of spoilers and who care about someone else's opinion. Getting started. "Blood and Sand" was a real revelation for me. I haven’t seen such a tough and at the same time so outstanding project. Everything seems to be there. The premise is amazing, the feeling of tension and doom comes from the very beginning. And how do you boil when you realize that everyone is betraying the main character, and besides everything else, he also loses a loved one. But, again, words cannot describe how easy it is to breathe in the last episodes. It’s great that he takes revenge on all his offenders for what they did to the people, for what they did to them. Spartacus looks like a real man in such inhuman conditions. There is so much horror and blood around that it is difficult to imagine what a person should be who is able to withstand this. Each time - a new battle, a new challenge, a new battle. You constantly sit and worry if this or that gladiator will be able to return alive. And while you wait, you listen to stories about how some strong warrior Enomai once managed to withstand the invincible Theocles in the arena. And this very Enomai is now no one else, but the trainer of other gladiators. The season "Gods of the Arena" shows how this courageous man overcame all difficulties and received such a high rank under the house of Batiatus. The Spin-off also features the hero Gannik, known from the main series. This fighter is the first and only one who got freedom from slavery after fighting for survival. Dustin Claire, who played Gannik, is a great fellow. So accurately and clearly he conveyed the character of his hero, so he played his role. I often have to compare him with Spartak, but this comparison is not so correct. Both heroes are original and strong in spirit, but they have completely different outlooks on life. But for me, for some reason, Gannik was in the first place in the series. Although in "Blood and Sand" I was crazy about Spartacus. The scriptwriters have perfectly weaved all the threads of the plot together. Now we have no reservations and unknown pages of history. The authorship of the same Blood and Sand Stephen S. DeKnight took over, he said in an interview that even while writing the script for the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand he had an idea about Onomai's wife, or rather a whole storyline that he wanted to show with flashbacks like in the series Lost, but for some reason did not embody it, and thanks to the difficulties of Blood and Sand, we got a new story. DeKnight managed to create a spin-off that perfectly merges the plots of both series and will not leave anyone without emotions. The director's work is at the highest level. I have very rarely seen such outstanding works in terms of scale and brilliance. It is difficult to compare “Spartak” and “Game of Thrones”, but the latter is still inferior to “Spartak” in the beauty of fights. "Blood and Sand" was visually better executed than any other series. It is echoed by other seasons, which are great. The "gods of the arena" put more emphasis on the drama in the main plot and on the spectacularity of the battles - the battles became even more intense and dangerous. It seems to me that authors can be proud of their creation. This is one of the best adaptations of the Spartacus rebellion I've ever seen. It's hard for me to compare all the seasons, because they are great no matter how you look at them! The project is amazing and incredibly stressful. From this I want to watch it more and more often, pay more and more attention to the little things. I like everything very much and I advise all viewers to pay close attention to "Gods of the Arena". This series is worthy of our attention and our respect. Outcome: Masterpiece P.S. Melitta love 10 out of 10 and a place in "my favorite films" on seasonvar
You know, this series for me was like a breath of a very necessary dose of fresh air. You know, this whole story about Spartacus and his uprising would have been less spectacular and interesting if this series had not been supplemented with such a high-quality and insanely interesting spin-off. The backstory gave us a new look at all possible scenarios for the likely development of the plot, putting dots on the i's throughout the story. More precisely, he filled in those reservations that were in the original series. Have you never wanted to know how Enomayu or Gannicu lived in Batiatus's house? You've probably heard a lot of stories about these people and their past in the main series, but you don't know how and how it all ended! Oddly enough, watching this backstory delayed me no less than the original series. This season I would recommend watching to all those who have completed watching the entire series. I don't think it's worth watching it after the opening season. Although at any moment the spin-off comes in just great! The storyline mainly concerns the events that took place in the house of Batiatus and in general in the city. That gladiatorial business of the main antagonist of the first season was just beginning to bloom. It is in the spin-off that they will tell us about how Quintus Lentulius became the head of his house, how Crixus first entered the arena, how his first fight went (this is generally a separate topic, because until the last I did not believe that Crixus the battle will be able to win). We also learn about how Enomai turned from a simple Gladiator into a mentor, a coach, whom we know from the main series. He is very strong, very fast, very smart and incredibly tough. And of course, all the stories that the heroes tell us in the first season (about the life of Enomai, about his wife, about the great Gannik) are all told and shown here. Gannicus, of course, is simply gorgeous! It is this hero that you can admire constantly! By the way, the authors themselves hint that watching the spin-off should be done after the first season. We are immediately shown the end of the first season and are reminded of it also in the last episode. Of course, it cannot come as a surprise to any person who is even a little familiar with history, but nevertheless, for the backstory, this is not the best idea, because after such spoilers any desire to watch the first season itself disappears. But, if we close our eyes to some spoilers, then we can say that the series turned out to be outstanding. More precisely, the spin-off turned out to be outstanding. The series is generally gorgeous, and there is no equal to it. Before us is an independent season, built according to all the laws of the genre. I really liked the fact that the authors did not give a weak point and make allowances for the fact that after the first cool season, everyone will fly to watch a poorly designed spin-off. Not. This part of the series is just as well done as the original project. Therefore, I only want to talk about him good. The cool thing is that the creators, on the one hand, made a cool action game, made an amazing plot, but at the same time they did a great job on the historical side of the project. There are a lot of exact details and moments corresponding to that time. We will learn even more about the uprising of Spartacus and what happened before this event.Separately, I want to note two characters: Guy Gannik - a real-life gladiator, one of the best in his time, according to Plutarch; and Gaia played by Jamie Murray, the best actress for the role of a depraved whore is simply not to be found. The creators of the series perfectly conveyed the era of that time. This is a time of enslavement, perversion and cruelty. This time is just incredibly dangerous and very difficult for ordinary people. But they found entertainment in gladiatorial battles. The atmosphere is very well recreated - it's hard not to notice. So the surrounding reality looks amazing here. The battles are also well organized. One can feel the intensity, passion, desire to win. But at the same time, you feel some kind of fear before the start of the battle. But the effects do not always look realistic - the blood and violence in this series make the required impression, but here are some of the characters' movements a little strange. In the first episode, Crixus was blown away by the blow as if blown away by the wind. Sex is even better, explicit scenes are present repeatedly in each of the episodes and they are really frank. Sex here is perhaps even closer to light pornography than to eroticism. The only thing that spoiled the picture for me personally was homosexual scenes. From the point of view of the plot and the era, they are probably justified, but still cause only disgust. But in the end we notice that all the debauchery that is happening on the screen in this series is just a background, which is very logical, in principle. The project itself is a mixture of dramatic and historical genre, where each high-ranking character plays an unequal political game with other people. At the same time, the series perfectly combines elements of an action movie, and the action movie is staged just fine. However, even for having, beyond the already described, attention to funny details, such as a great idea with a transfer between savages, I will not give the maximum rating now. Not because of homosexuality, in this case it is forgivable, but because of the obvious spoilers for the first season, which I was about to re-watch. I give the project nine out of ten, and also note that it is worth watching this season only with a translation from LostFilm. Very high quality and loyal. In general, enjoy, dear.
You know, it happens that truly amazing projects appear on television that you want to watch and discuss! Here "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" became a real revelation for me. I have never had such tension in my life. Throughout the series, to be honest, the blood was boiling, eyes were burning, but at the end ... such a sigh of fresh air, such relaxation, such emotions ... just indescribable. I have probably never seen such an amazing project like this anywhere else. I was expecting a very long time for the second season to be released, and in general I hoped that it would not be inferior to the first. And so it happened - the second one was simply amazing, although a slightly different style of the story went and the scenery changed a little! But is this the reason to berate the show? Of course not! The project remained at the highest level, and the actors played as great as before. The third season was also a success. Although there were discrepancies with historical reality, it was still incredibly interesting to watch! And now we have finally come to an end ... but it seems that there are some innuendo, some confusion and oddities. What went wrong? I was tormented by questions: how did Enomai become a coach? How did he manage to withstand Theocles in the arena? Who was his wife? Why did she die? After all, he spoke about this more than once in dialogues with other heroes. In addition, I was insanely interested to find out, but who is this Gannik really? After all, we were constantly told in the main series about how he escaped from the house of Batiatus, more precisely, he became the first and only gladiator who received freedom from slavery with his victories in the arena.A true and invincible gladiator! So, so that the audience does not have unnecessary questions, the authors of the original Spartacus script decided to make a gift to all fans and released a spin-off telling about the events in Batiatus's house before Spartacus appeared in it. That is, these are the very days when Gannicus only became great, and Enomai received freedom! By the way, it is about in this series that we will see the fearless and invincible Gall Crix for the first time, who is also just starting his gladiatorial career. And he will start his career with a great victory over a very strong opponent! It was from then that Gannicus and Crixus, Enomai and many other gladiators met. So, before us is just an amazing motion picture, which is in no way inferior in quality to the original project. Interestingly, the plot of Oenomai's personal life and suffering rises here. It was very bitter to watch him lose a loved one through the mistake of his own master. Anyway, this Batiatus is a real scoundrel! And in this series, he appears as just a terrible person who has not yet acquired greatness, but strives for it with might and main. In general, the plot of this season turned out to be interesting and rather contradictory. Contradictory in the sense that a lot of things happened in the project in a way that we could not even imagine. There will be intrigues, there will be conspiracies, there will be a lot of things that could be said, but I'm not going to spoil. I really don't like it when all the secrets of this or that series are revealed, and you have not watched it yet. It's bad to be like this. Anyway, I really enjoyed this season. The Gods of the Arena is something new, something original, although it tells about events that we have already heard somewhere. Sometimes the show pushed me away ... But I can't remember even one negative! Everything is flawless. You can't even get to the details. Excellent staging of battles, thoughtful images of characters, drama, capturing the viewer, clever phrases, realism, good musical design - all this is present here! I liked the actors! But I didn’t doubt their skill, since history is a serious genre and they don’t take anyone here. BUT this, again, is my opinion! I liked Quint and Lucretia (John Hannah and Lucy Lawless) very much. Great character Gannicus (Dustin Claire). Others made me happy too! What else to say after this? Of course, give the project an excellent mark. Probably ten out of ten will be what you need! I liked everything, I am happy with everything and I advise you to look too! Happy viewing and good mood to all of you, dear viewers! I hope that true fans of Spartak, just like me, will appreciate this wonderful project.
