TV series Gallipoli watch online freeGalipolli Peninsula. At the beginning of one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, it is at this time that Bevan and Tolly are here. Here they face difficult trials, which cannot be envied. Later, more recruits will get into their team - two more will join the guys and now a difficult time comes before them - eight months of hellish conditions. Will they stand and what have they really been taught?
Quite by accident, on one of the cable TV channels, I came across a film, or rather a series, although it is still impossible to call it a serial in the modern sense, under the name "Gallipoli". At first, I did not attach any importance to the fact that the title of the film seemed very familiar to me, and only after some time from the beginning of watching, I realized that the film would not be one of the easiest ones that I watched. This is due to the fact that the series "Gallipoli" is a small series about one of the most important battles in history and it covers the period of the First World War. This series was a real discovery for me. Firstly, at least to start with the fact that I had never watched Australian TV shows at all and had a vague idea of the manner of presentation, and secondly, because I was struck by the seriousness of the topic chosen. Of course, I just could not get past this project and started watching it immediately. I can also note that one of the positive qualities of the series is that I decided to re-read the history of the First World War in order to understand better. what was shown to us on the screen and how it really was. I was surprised that in addition to what is written in textbooks, there are a lot of notes from eyewitnesses on the Internet. I could not even imagine that there would be so many of them. As far as I reminded myself with notes from history, the battle of Gallipoli was very bloody, and this only meant that this series would hardly be simple. Although I was comforted by the year the film was released. The Australian TV series "Gallipoli" was released for the first time in one thousand nine hundred and eighty-one, and then special effects were not used much and one could safely count on the sincerity of the characters in the film. All seven episodes in the series I watched with bated breath. I really liked this cinematic masterpiece. Despite the fact that a lot of Australians died in that battle, who were called to participate in helping the British Empire, the Australians shot the series without pathos, and it seemed to me very correct. And without pathos, one can show that those who participated in the war not even for their own country did it very worthily. It's a pity, of course, that the bloodshed on Turkish soil did not save the situation in any way, and as a result, all the victims, in fact, were still in vain, if at all it is possible to argue that way now. But recently I came across a new version of this series and I was extremely surprised. Did someone really decide to replay Mel Gibson himself, because in that old film adaptation of the eighties, one of the main characters was played by the then little-known Gibson. Director Glendin Ivin managed to hook. The tape came out no worse than its predecessor, with the same number of episodes, but completely different. Probably, every viewer, it is likely, has a certain opinion about Australia, if they told us - Texas, we would immediately think about cowboys, and when mentioning Australia, it seems that this is something wild and distant, then, which represents a certain mystery in history. So, if we talk about the series "Gallipoli", then it is completely saturated with Australian mystery (I do not want to mention such an incomprehensible word "spirit").For some reason, I personally associate with the atmosphere that is developed in the film an old TV series called "Devil's Service at the Mesh Hospital", I don’t know if this is caused by so many khaki uniforms that flashed in the frame. The film seemed to me very believable and from this it is simply impossible not to show interest in him. And it seems to me that despite the fact that the series is not documentary and does not retell all the events of that time, the director managed to preserve the spirit of war and at the same time play out his own story in front of the audience. there are two heroes in the series. But you don't notice this, because you are imbued with great interest in the plot. In general, I like such author's projects that do not distract the viewer to the actors' play and which do not attract attention by the fact that some "star characters are involved. ". This type includes, for example, British TV shows. And now I have discovered Australian ones. Thanks to the fact that I watched the old" Gallipoli " I can compare, I must admit - both of these shows are just brilliant. There is something to think about and something to watch with interest, without looking up from the screen. I can't say that the film will be easy to perceive, but literally from the very first minutes it grabs your attention and you cannot stop until you watch it to the very end. It is good that the series was not stretched into many episodes, because this would oblige to come up with many completely unnecessary scenes, as they like, for example, to do in our cinema, but apparently the Australians should have everything clearly and according to plan, because even " the strategic construction "of the series more than suited me. Do I love military films? Rather yes, because at least they have not just an entertaining motive, but also show some other points that we sometimes condemn, not really thinking about why all this was done. Films not only on military, but also on historical subjects help us to discover history more closely - not the way it opens in textbooks, but more sensually and in detail. As you did not know her before. Specifically for this film, I can say that it was filmed fairly reliably. I consulted with a competent historian, I wanted to understand where the lie and where the truth is in the story of Bevan and Tolly, and I understood. that the film shows the tragedy that the Australians experienced in the last century. Even some Hollywood celebrities should learn the acting of young guys. Looking at them. their feelings, recreated on the screens, it is simply impossible not to believe them. Especially, of course, I remember the hero of Cody Smith-McPhee. I liked how this series combined a peaceful life, military action and flashbacks of the main characters. Without a doubt, a huge amount of work has been done on the film - it can be seen and it is very expensive. It seems to me that very few such films are being shot now. In general, the "Gallipoli" series was a real discovery for me. I remember the positive impressions of the film that I watched a long time ago and the new one released this year did not disappoint me. I didn’t think that romanticism is still preserved and that TV shows are not filmed exclusively under a carbon copy, about love and bandits. The series awakened in our souls the hope that we can make really expensive films (not in terms of budget, but in terms of spirituality) and that there are so many still undiscovered talents, like Smith-McPhee, who practically made this film. This is the actor who is not noticed during the actions on the screen, but at the same time, his absence also does not pass unnoticed. The series looks like a single whole and it is very difficult to break away from it to the very end. Of course, this show is not for everyone. I advise the impressionable audience and those who want a sea of blood and fights to bypass the film. It is rather for natures who understand and value simplicity and comprehension. The film takes a deep thought and you just can't help but find out what awaits Bevan and Tolly. At the same time, you will see how they from young youths become real men. After this film, I had only positive emotions that I wanted to share with you. Be sure to see this picture, it is unusual and extremely interesting. Probably, in it, as well as in all serials, it has its "minuses", but for me personally they went unnoticed, so they were not so significant. The film also colors well the music. It seems to complement the picture of what is happening and very accurately emphasizes important nuances. For this I want to say a special thank you to Stephen Ray. On this, perhaps, everything. Thank you for your attention.
I never thought that Australians could make a show like this. As it turned out, they still remember the events of almost a century ago, when the allied troops during the First World War suffered a terrible, monstrous defeat when they tried to snatch the Galipoli Peninsula from the clutches of the enemy in order to take possession of the Dardanelles and allow Russian ports to function calmly. It was these battles that shocked the entire Entente and showed Britain's weakness and weariness from regular war. To recuperate, New Zealand and Australian regiments had to be called to the front. But the young guys who rushed into the Turkish trenches all died and died. The world turned a blind eye to the loss of the Entente. And they still remember it. Not without a reason, because the bloody trail of those battles stretched from the very day of that battle ... through decades, through almost a century. People left evidence of those days on the papers, told everything to us, future generations. Eyewitnesses' words hit the pages of history. However, everyone knows that such huge losses caused political miscalculations and gross military mistakes, due to which innocent people died, who did not even know about those for whom they fought in this ministry. People in a foreign land fought for themselves and their loved ones. But was this war really needed? Until now, no one can justify the actions of those people who stood at the ruling elite. That is why we, together with the authors of this series, mourn those who fought and died a heroic death. A disastrous result for the Australian side. And this is recognized by the Australians themselves. Thousands of guys just fell after being summoned by the British Empire. Turkish land was not supposed to be their last place that they saw in their lives. But you know, today in Australia these people are remembered with pride. They are presented as the great heroes of the country who managed to defend the honor of their loved ones and the state that called them. Much has already been said about this event, but now we see a completely new picture. Previously, Peter Weir acted with his film, and now he undertook to continue Glendin Ivin with his short series of the same name on the same topic, but under a different motive, which eventually reveals itself in periodic mental comebacks of the protagonist, periodically returning to the past, clarifying why he ended up on war. Cody Smith-McPhee, in my opinion, turned out to be one of the most prominent actors in this project. His looks fit insanely well for such a romantic-heroic project. He literally reminds us of Arbuzov's play "My Poor Marat", where a young man in love goes to the front for his rival in order to be on a par with him in the same conditions and fight for a girl's heart, torn between the one and the other. Here, too, the younger brother, hiding his real age, follows the older one so that his girlfriend is waiting not only for one, but also for two guys. But this campaign did not promise anything good from the very beginning. Sometimes only ... although it is more correct to say occasionally there are events related to the world and to normal life. There is regular tension, fear, imminent death somewhere nearby. But her oppression is suppressed by the fearlessness of the warriors, who, one after another, rush into battle, sparing neither themselves nor the enemy.Meanwhile, mean commanders-in-chief and ministers puff their cheeks and now and then play their political solitaire. It costs them nothing to exchange a couple of hundred soldiers. It's a pity. And in the heat of the battle turns out to be a simple kid, in principle, an innocent boy, a simple guy who cannot withstand such strong emotional pressure. He stands out from all, he is not like many of his other comrades, but over time you have to become one of those who accept this terrible battle. He becomes part of the military people, forming one of several circles of life, which unfolds in a war that has sorted everyone in its own order, defining its destiny to generals and journalists, selling conscience to those who are fighting on information fronts. The movie turned out just flawless. Not to say that pyrotechnics and special effects were directly scattered here, but it is clear that the money was spent in the right direction. The picture looks great, the battles are excellent, the main characters and minor characters look great. The most important thing is that there is a certain amount of drama in this project, without which the project was perceived completely differently. The war in this show is something worth running from. It is here that we see that battles and deaths are all nonsense ... they are just huge losses that will never be justified. But at the same time, ordinary men who embarked on the warpath show themselves to be real heroes. And when you look at this manly face of Tolly McPhee, you feel absolutely everything that the hero feels ... Inexpressible feelings that I advise you to experience. Enjoy your viewing, I strongly recommend this series to all viewers. Thanks for your attention!
