I don't watch TV shows often, otherwise you just sit down and that's it, you start rushing home by a certain time - if this series is on TV, or then frantically looking on the Internet, forgetting about all household chores. Previously, I could do several things at the same time, watch a series and simultaneously do some things, even work, but lately I have been trying to focus on what is happening on the screen and if there is a fascinating plot, then I cannot stop myself. After a long break, I started watching the film "Free Letter", a serial historical melodrama, which premiered on Channel One in February 2018. I must say right away that the series is aimed at a female audience. Filmed in the style of a classic melodrama. Events introduce a young girl whose life collapsed overnight, she was deprived of her usual existence and even her own freedom. The time of development of events - the nineteenth century, there was still serfdom. And the heroine is just one of the serfs. She should have been granted freedom, but the girl lost her patron, became a victim of dishonest people. A story about human relationships, family values, the position of a person, and of course, about love. I like landscapes against which events unfold, scenery. The true beauty of Russian nature is shown, the costumes and decorations correspond to that time, it is very interesting to look at what life was like two centuries ago. The creators did not escalate the situation, did not exaggerate the colors, they wanted the viewer to be able to observe and evaluate what was happening. Everything is done so as to arouse the viewer's genuine interest and participation. You penetrate to the heroes, among their number you find those who are close to you in spirit, you like. Even negative characters have their own truth. Talented work of very worthy representatives of their profession. This applies to the director, cameramen, screenwriters, actors, decorators. They did a great job - they provided each of us with the opportunity to travel into the past of our Motherland, demonstrated Russian classics in all its glory, showed us the place that we consider our home, made us think about the Russian soul, which foreigners cannot understand. The soul of the Russian person is too mysterious. The actors who starred in "Free Literacy" played great. Faces are fresh, interesting, actors who are still little known were given a chance to declare themselves, to demonstrate their talent. Not every director will take such a risk, many prefer to deal with already famous actors. The main female role was played by Tatyana Babenkova, she is a pretty girl, but at first she did not notice anything outstanding. However, the actress managed to create a deep feminine image worthy of admiration. Artem Krylov is incredibly good in the image of Dmitry Krechetsky! Realistically got used to the image of a noble nobleman, courageous, brave, just, a real military man. Vlad Abashin appeared in the image of an antihero, but he is also incredibly good in this role, Hollywood would definitely not miss such an actor and would invite him to all high-profile premieres. New names, new faces and such an excellent result of their work! The performers of secondary roles are also charismatic, disposed. The plot seemed to me exciting, at least I got carried away with watching and did not regret at all that I spent almost fourteen hours of my time watching it, not in one day, of course, but in two weeks, but still. Many dramatic events are presented in the series, but at the same time, there is no heavy sediment in the soul, no sadness, only bright feelings. The film is about love, to the homeland, neighbors, men and women. It is worth taking into account the behavior of Dmitry, his desire to be close to the woman he loves. If you love, be brave!
I started watching this series because of the long-running ads on the channel, which were so intrusive on the screen. Already from some of their fragments of this series, it was clear that this picture will not show us anything new, and it does not present anything interesting. But getting acquainted with this picture, I nevertheless decided to understand for myself for sure whether it is worth my attention or not. And my viewing fell, just on the May long holiday weekend. I watched the series, but I want to say that my premonition did not disappoint me this time either. The painting did not give me a lot of emotions or impressions. Everything was very mundane, boring. And the plot proceeded in a sluggish mode. Undoubtedly, such a plot as in the TV series "Free Letter" can arouse the interest of the audience. After all, we do not watch films every day about the time when it comes to serfdom, when people were sold at auction, like some kind of thing, and slaves dreamed of the most free literacy as something supernatural and unattainable. The plot of this picture is based on the story of a young girl named Polina. The life of our main character is changing due to some oversight, due to the change of a few letters of a simple lawyer. The life of Polina Lebedeva is completely changing. But will the former young lady and the current slave be able to restore the truth? Justify her good name and become who she was from childhood? It would seem that the idea of the picture is not bad, but everything turned out painfully predictable and corny. I can agree with a large number of viewers that the plot of the picture was extremely stretched. After all, whatever one may say, the plot could fit into seven or eight episodes. After watching just the first few episodes, you already understand who will be with whom, how it will end and so on. There are a lot of completely unnecessary scenes in the picture that only interfered with the main storyline, dragging on time. Of the advantages of this series, I would like to note the excellent scenery, attributes of the time, stunning landscapes, costumes. The atmosphere of that time was completely transferred to us, the audience. Having started watching this series, I was faced with the fact that I saw a large number of actors unknown to me. I discovered Tatyana Babenkova, whom I had never met before. Initially, I did not really like the image of her heroine. Polina seemed to me too unrealistic a girl, some kind of naive fool. But later the actress managed to win over the audience, and Polina was even able to arouse sympathy in me. In general, the cast that played the roles was quite good, but the plot was painfully predictable, boring and sluggish. Watch or not watch, it's up to you. I was not surprised by this series, and it could not give me a lot of emotions and impressions. It's a very simple show for me. Until next time!
I started watching the series "Free Letter" because it was advertised. But I simply could not expect something enchanting from him. After all, even to the video itself it was clear to me that we would be shown an old story under a new authorship and with new characters. Why did I start watching it, since the series "Free Letter" is not an application for originality? I am a housewife and since I spend a lot of time at home, the series is a salvation for me from everyday things. Whatever the series, but it will create an atmosphere for you. Of course, hope dies last, but this time too, everything turned out to be very regrettable. I watch the episodes and understand that I am simply bored and it's not about the plot. It is generally interesting, only to present it to us skillfully. It is always interesting to look at people who are ready to rebuild and start a new life, show themselves and show their strengths and the best qualities. It has always been fascinating, this is what serials are built on, in particular, in addition to love stories, family secrets and other intrigues and slander ... But even soap operas can be interesting. Here the plot is very sluggish, although the idea is very good. Firstly, it is always curious to get acquainted with another historical period, all the more to learn in more detail about such savagery as selling people at auctions, to learn that in general there was a free letter, which meant freedom. This is the most precious thing for serfs. The story of Polina may be of interest, because she used to live richly, but after correcting some data in the document she began to live completely differently, turned into a serf ... What is it like to become different? It’s interesting to understand, it’s not just physically, but morally and psychologically ... You need to be a very strong person in order to remain yourself. It's a shame the show is so boringly shown.Such a potential is great and such a low realization. A huge number of episodes are simply calculated and predicted, even intrigues do not work. This is a big disadvantage for the show. I saw the comments, where they wrote that start watching any episode and you won't notice much difference ... And that's true, everything is so stretched that it is not interesting to watch. If you look at everything that happens, but it's the beautiful views of nature, which are very well shown in the series. Well, and just look at the cute actors. I don’t think the actors are bad, although I don’t know any of them. It's about the series itself, the approach to its filming. We decided what they would do in this way and that's it ... If you started watching it, but continue, then believe me, it's not worth it ... Although this is my personal opinion.
In 2018, such a multi-part project as "Free Letter" appeared - the declared genre is a historical melodrama. The plot introduces the audience to Polina Lebedeva, a pretty young girl who has a very difficult fate. The story is quite original, in my opinion, and interesting. Polina finds herself in the role of a forced person, forced to obey other people, she has become property in the hands of others. There is little pleasant in this, but it is not possible to change the situation either. There is the owner and his family, and as they want to dispose of the fate of the girl, so be it. They will say to work in coal pits, which means you have to obey, marry a village bumpkin, get ready for the wedding. Of course, there is a lot of drama in this story. The heroine is experiencing feelings, and her feelings are understandable. The series has many unexpected plot twists, there is intrigue, excellent acting, colorful images of the characters. And there is also an excursion into history. The events of the multi-part film take place at a time when human freedom was still limited and granted to few. Only a select few. Historians were involved in the filming in order to reproduce the spirit of that era with accuracy. Everything that we see on the screen does not run counter to the reality that reigned in the nineteenth century. I believe that this is the right approach to business, thorough, and it should be so. If you want to make a historical film that will attract the viewer, you need to do it thoroughly, without hack-work, work out all the details, do not overlook anything. The manners, the dress, the dancing - everything is very convincing, as is the scenery. Filming took place on the territory of the "Khmelita" estate in the Smolensk region. This is the family estate of Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov. Events develop very interestingly, I would divide the storylines into three. The first, the main one, is associated with the main character - Polina and Dmitry Krechetsky, the second - with the notary Boris and serf Tatiana, and the key figure of the third line is Andrei Krechetsky. I am sure that fans of Russian TV series will appreciate the "Free Letter" at its true worth. The main storyline is connected with the main character and Dmitry Krechetsky. He is the younger brother of Andrei. He is what a military man should be, serious, noble. He likes Pauline, he has not warm feelings, but he is also not free to dispose of his own life. It is necessary to live at the behest of brother Andrey. But between young people such a beautiful love story develops. I really want to believe that this is also the case in real life. Falling in love and outbursts of passion are increasingly common. And true love is a much stronger, deeper, more beautiful feeling, which makes it possible to overcome any obstacles, to cope with all problems. You treat these heroes with sympathy, you empathize with them, you sincerely want them to find their happiness, even realizing that this is a film and the ending should be positive. The main idea of the series "Free Diploma" is that, in fact, no paper, diploma grants freedom if your soul is not free. The second storyline is connected with Boris and Tanya. The role of Boris is played by Ivan Dobronravov.Excellent game. This man knew Polina's story, he knew her secret, but decided to take advantage of the situation and grant freedom not to Polina, but to his beloved Tatyana. The couple moves to St. Petersburg to start a happy life together, like real spouses. Boris is deeply in love with Tatiana, he is ready for anything for her, to step over everyone, but his excessive enthusiasm turns into sad consequences. There is love between them, as it is sung in a popular song, but at the same time we see how different these people are, they are driven by different motives, they have different views on life. Tatiana dreamed of getting freedom, and Boris dreamed of making her happy, does not want the woman he loves to need something. Tatiana wants to be her own in the local society, she prefers to forget that until recently she was a serf. But to do this is problematic for a young lady who is not trained to read and write, has no manners. Boris knows a lot, he is his own here. We see that different people can coexist quite comfortably together. But this love carries a destructive force. A bright feeling, which should, in theory, inspire, give strength, push to the accomplishment of good deeds, turns into a mass of problems. I recall the famous saying that happiness cannot be built on someone else's misfortune. And there is. What began as a deception turned into a tragedy. And here is the third line - Andrei Krechestky and his relations with others. He is the enemy of Alexei Golovin, who received the count's estate, his land, became the owner of Polina. This is a tough person, and even cruel. He has many vices, he is touchy, does not forget anything until he takes revenge, he does everything solely for his own benefit, is selfish, does not take into account other people's feelings, lives by his desires. He wants to achieve the location of Polina, more precisely, as the location, rather her body, and if he wants something, he will get it, even if he has to use violence. But this man early had to become an adult and independent, to take responsibility for the family, to raise a brother. This is hardly an excuse. Andrey wants everything to be according to him. Andrei Krechetsky perceives life as a game, he is a puppeteer, and people are just puppets in his hands. A very controversial image. Good actors have been invited for the filming, convincingly accustomed to the images of their heroes, whom you believe, under whose charm you fall. I liked the series "Free Letter", for a long time there were no others like it. I think that I will still have a desire to revise it! I recommend to fans of Russian TV series, a very worthy project. Start watching!
Very beautiful, first of all, and also incredibly interesting and, of course, talented drama with a claim to high historical accuracy. Honestly, I am delighted with what I saw. The project is really impressive, it really makes us look with great pleasure at the actors, at the appearance of the environment, which, I believe, corresponds to the time that we are shown. Well, if we can draw a conclusion, then what does this series tell us about? Probably, it is still not so much about historical events as about people, about relationships, about feelings, about love, finally. The life of ordinary peasants and high-ranking gentlemen is shown to be very interesting. To be honest, the changes in the state themselves look very exciting. And this tension is also felt inside every family, in every person in the heart. Whoever said anything, the writers really did a great job. There are also very bright, deep characters, such as Prince Golovin or Polina Lebedeva. There are just personalities who can be in any era, in any setting, and so on and so forth. I would like to note that the main roles played by actors Tatyana Babenkova and performer Artem Krylov turned out to be very bright and interesting. And the characters themselves, with their stories and their images, could get even more development. I would like to note that before this project I was able to watch the series "Bloody Lady" and "The Great", but this series impressed me even more. There is something in him. And this is something really impressive. In general, I recommend this show to everyone, because it is cool and insanely interesting. I think that the audience will definitely like "Free Letter", because this is our story. Enjoy your viewing, dear viewers!
The first channel shows multi-part films that are worthy of attention, I don't remember that there were frankly stupid and uninteresting TV shows, yet the TV channel, the main one in our country, enjoying such authority and trust from the population, cannot lower the high bar. This year saw the premiere of a series such as Free Letter, a historical movie set in the nineteenth century. A film with a well-written script, an interesting story, talented actors, and recreated the atmosphere of the nineteenth century. All of us in history lessons at school studied serfdom and that period of history did not pass unnoticed for us. After all, this is the history of our country. The time was ambiguous and to us, modern residents of Russia, it may seem cruel. Indeed, now we are so accustomed to freedom that such an attitude towards people as to slaves causes protest in our souls. How could they dispose of the peasants, mock them, because they are people too! But they could, and it was believed that there was nothing shameful, this is the way. My peasants, whatever I want, I do, I want to send them to hard work, I want to decide their fate, or even whip them. The owners very often slept with the serfs, but where can you complain, how to avoid shame? Some even committed suicide because of this. The nobles were free to do whatever they wanted. There were also at that time - People among the nobles who understood the monstrosity of the situation, showed humanity, strove for their peasants to live well. The film turned out to be very interesting, he recreated that era with amazing accuracy and demonstrated the human essence in all its glory. I am fascinated by the atmosphere that is present in the frame, as I like the language spoken at that time, without any words-parasites, or rather not even the language, but speech, the primordial Russian speech, beautiful, correct. What is now lost. By yourself, you begin to notice that speech has become so littered, there are such words in it that you shouldn't use, but how to get rid of them, sometimes you catch yourself thinking that you won't even pick up a decent synonym right away. Everything is so simplified, we use the same words to express different emotions, our speech has become impoverished. But the Russian language has always been rich and powerful. After watching "Free Diploma" I began to correct myself, I think before I say something, and I try to learn to live without any specific words. Thanks to the scriptwriters for writing every dialogue this way - quality! Thanks to them and for the multifaceted images of the heroes, the main, the secondary ones, each has a rich, vivid image, colorful. The actors are also great, they got used to the characters, demonstrated them in all their glory. I like every character. Even the antihero - Andrei Krechetsky, although a disgusting type, is admirable for how his image is demonstrated to the smallest detail convincing. Looking at him you think that you would not want to face such a type in your life. Such an acquaintance will not lead to anything good, vindictive, resentful, selfish, greedy and cruel. With great pleasure I watched this series, waited for a meeting with my favorite heroes, sincerely empathized with them, waited for a denouement anticipating a happy ending, but at the same time I did not want to part with the heroes, lose the chance to break away from our reality and dive for at least a couple of hours a day into the past, into such a controversial nineteenth century with its special charm. I express my gratitude to everyone who had a hand in the creation of this multi-part project!
Not so long ago, this series appeared, which, to be honest, intrigued me. When I saw who was in the cast, I was not particularly happy. In addition, I saw Tatyana Babenkova there, who played in the TV series "Policeman from the Ruble", also in a fresh series, which, by the way, has good ratings. To me, Babenkova herself in the above-mentioned series did not seem to be a skillful actress ... Here, in "Free Literacy", she will have to try and try on a more serious image. After all, the role went to her difficult, as for me. After all, the main character, Polina Lebedeva, used to live in a wealthy family, but after the death of Prince Golovin, she was sold at an auction. In principle, it became clear to me how everything would unfold in the series. But guessing is one thing, and the author's actual idea and implementation is another thing. I didn’t like it right away, why, if the girl lived in luxury, if she was brought up as not as a serf, then why couldn’t hurry up so that everything would be good in her life. But without this and the plot, such a sad story would not have happened. There were enough stories like that on television. It's kind of a classic. A purely Russian approach, where a young and kind girl will have to suffer well. Well, and, of course, the series will not do without the mystery of birth. Does the show have a good idea? It will not work to call it original, but it is quite interesting to watch such plot moves. Only the study as a whole of the Free Letter does not suit me very much. Everything is somehow blurred and without specifics or something, everything is plotted with strokes and strokes. Polina Lebedeva should delight the viewer, and as a viewer I would like this, but, unfortunately, there is no charm in Polina. And she seems to be smiling like the sun, but the sun is somehow not real, but looks like a decoration. This is very frustrating. After all, the main character wants to believe and you yourself are ready to think out her image, but it does not work. This is just a tragedy for the viewer ... Of course, I am exaggerating, but it is rather strange to see a girl constantly smiling, this is, excuse me, fake, lack of harmony. Here the claim, of course, is to the author, and not to the actress Tatyana. In general, actors are hired people and do what they are told. This is known. But in the series I liked the landscapes, they are simply gorgeous and full of life and beauty. The nature is shown amazing, as if its eminent artist painted on canvas, we also observe a beautiful house. Life, by the way, is also reflected very naturally. If we could still refine the images of the characters, then the series would generally turn out to be worthwhile. The romance in the series adds a sad touch to what is happening. It's no secret that in many literary works, authors pay special attention to describing their characters, because this is the basis. Through their gestures, emotions, philosophy and through their actions, we get to know them. Why, in this series, does the author decide that the series can do half-heartedly about the characters? This is not even a small picture, and not a continuation of some part. This is a solid composition. And what do we see? More precisely, what we do not see ... We do not see the disclosure of the image of Polina. During that period, girls from wealthy families played musical instruments very well, and their playing or singing was one of the fascinating pastimes when they met. Well, you could have played with that. And the romance for Polina to make or somehow reveal the heroine. The viewer needs this, for the sake of this we watch everything, and not for the sake of suffering. She is not just a peasant serf, she is skillful, knows the manners of society and was brought up at a good level. Speak a foreign language, sing a song, embroider at least one episode ... But there is no depth, everything is superficial. Only good mood, kindness and a smile. This is really wonderful, but why is it still not? And a similar remark applies equally to other characters. You could tell more about them if they can't show them. You also need to know how to shoot TV shows As a result, it turns out that you are watching a series. It seems interesting, but there is simply no climax. This is frustrating. I would like to feel the atmosphere, empathize with the heroine, almost let a tear go and believe in history. But I can not…
This film shows the history of the country well through the destinies of individuals. Well shown. Melodramatic, but by no means naive, but intelligent, I would say, without savoring the pain, sadness and difficulties that serfdom entails. The image of the main character is so convincing that I got the feeling that with my skin I feel those sorrows and joys that happen to her on the screen. An equally vivid image of a notary who was given the ability to love desperately, but, unfortunately, was not given the ability to resist temptations. A very strong image turned out. You involuntarily sympathize with him, empathize, respect his impulses and, at the same time, you well understand that this will not lead to good. Great acting job! And the prince ... You can talk a lot about the characters in this film ... but I won't - it's better for you to see it yourself. I really liked the "design" of the film - excellent costumes, interior decoration, nature, and horses are just a sight for sore eyes ... in general, the whole atmosphere of the film simply plunges you into the environment of that not a simple period in the history of a great country, with its special morals and colors. Excellent musical accompaniment. In general, I recommend the film to everyone. To everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of people, those who not only look at the screen, but also realize what they see. You will like it :-) Enjoy your viewing!
I decided to watch this series, inspired by the "Great" and "Bloody Lady". I don't know much about history and what age it is. But I like these historical Russian serials. Everything in them is so beautiful, majestic and usually the actors play at the highest level. But this series from 1 episode did not really like it. The main character is so naive and pretty that she even wants to roll her eyes. I hope that in the next episodes she will be revealed as a strong girl, and not as a lady in trouble. The series is a little boring in places, boring with dialogues, the picture is very beautiful: dresses, rooms, etc. But either the dialogues are so boring, or the actors don't play out. Nevertheless, I have seen enough in "Velikaya" on Snegir and Derevianko, which I admired. I hope, nevertheless, for a more dynamic continuation after episode 1.
