The Mentalist series (2018) watch online for freeThe main character of this series is Daniil Romanov. He works with the police to help detectives investigate particularly complex crimes. A man has a sharp mind and the ability to manipulate people. Once upon a time, an outstanding psychologist worked as a psychic, trying to cut more money from especially gullible clients. The fake clairvoyant claimed to be able to read minds and talk about the past and future. Phenomenal abilities, as it turned out, come in handy in investigations. The main character once even felt like a star when he was invited to television, where he, as an expert in the field of psychology, gave a defamatory description of one of the most dangerous maniacs-killers in the country, who is widely called the Demon. Then Romanov did not yet know how this performance and the loud words spoken on the air would turn out for him.
Some people seriously believe that remakes of Western TV shows have to be done due to the lack of good domestic authors. Believe me, this is not the case. Visit the site of SamIzdat, - there are THOUSANDS of talented authors with original stories in Russia. Why, instead of creating something of their own, Russian "directors" shoot exclusively parodies of Hollywood films and foreign serials? Why should we viewers look at the same thing twice ?! There was one nice adaptation of the Argentine "Rascals" called "Kings of the Game". Perhaps "My Fair Nanny", which held solely on the charisma of the actors. And it's all. The series "The Mentalist" rightfully occupies one of the first places in the rating of the best TV series (I would like to note that there was no need to shoot the last 2 seasons at all, than to ruin the story of Bloody John SO) in history. A gripping plot that perfectly combines drama with comedy, fantasy with hoax. A story that keeps the viewer on the screen. Anxious anticipation of each new series. Exemplarily written characters, lively and understandable, close to the viewer, but at the same time capable of surprises. The acting is so natural that you forget that all this is just a performance, not for real. The villain is truly terrible, he scares and makes you tremble. The talents of the protagonist are beyond understanding, although just a little to leave doubts ... You can praise the authors of the idea, screenwriters, director and actors for a long time. But I won't. After all, we are talking about another "Mentalist". And so, the country that gave the world Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Pushkin and many other great writers and poets (including emigrants like Isaac Asimov). Homeland of Stanislavsky and the elder Bondarchuk. The place where such movie heroes as Stirlitz and the Red Army soldier Sukhov were created ... There is no more of this, with rare exceptions. There are antics and parodies. Remakes and rebuts. And the series "Pseudo-Mentalist" reflects the entire depth of the fall and degradation of contemporary Russian culture. Where Georg Ots used to shine and Chaliapin today is grimacing Timati. Where before it sounded "Where does the Motherland begin" sings "My marmalade, I'm wrong." And where they created stories about the brave conquerors of space and war heroes, the Mentalista is being filmed today. Why you don't need to watch this squalor: 1. This is an almost literal adaptation of the original. The names of the heroes, the place of action and the brands of cars have been changed. Moreover, in the original, the heroes patriotically use exclusively huge Chevrolet Tahoe, but in the remake it is not the UAZ Patriot and not the Lada IxRey. There is a Volkswagen. Trifle? Maybe. But it is the little things that distinguish a masterpiece from squalor. In general, the plot completely duplicates the original. Nothing new. 2. Casting of actors ... A Jew with a difficult to pronounce and unknown name in the role of Patrick Jane looks relatively good. Teresa Lisbon is a manly horror story with a frozen grimace - no femininity, no fragility, no inner strength and great spirit, nothing. The performer of the role of Van Peld would look great in the role of a young milkmaid or a village blissful. Rixby ... he was almost absent in the first episode, until there is nothing to scold. But Cho ... Just compare the photos of Tim Keng and Nodar Siradze. I just don’t understand how they’ll develop the theme of a brutal strong man with a dystrophic dwarf ?! 3. Game of actors. There is nothing to write about. She's not there. Simply not at all. Familiar faces appear in the frame, but this makes it even more sad. Every single performer does not understand what feelings and emotions should be manifested in a particular scene. Instead of compassion, we see cynicism. Instead of grief - clownery. Instead of sympathy, a spark between the characters, there is absolutely nothing. Remember the moment Ricksby first saw Van Peld? Who in the same second did not understand that this is love for life ?! Who didn’t cry when Patrick found his brutally murdered wife and daughter ?! Who hasn't noticed how badly Patrick needs Teresa Lisbon? How does he reach out to her with all his soul, at the same time trying to push her away in fear again to become the cause of the death of loved ones ?! And this is not love, not attraction (after all, they removed the last seasons in vain, they ruined everything) - this is the deepest pit of loneliness and inhuman pain in the heart. From the first episode of the original "Mentalist" you understand the inner world of the heroes, their pain and joy. In the Russian "adaptation" - the monkey's attempts to copy the original. Poor as a cargo cult. Disgusting in their seriousness ...Stanislavsky would not have said his famous “I don’t believe !!!”. He would just cry bitterly. People in the frame are not actors! Children at the matinee in kindergarten play better. 4. Script. Stupid mindless copying of EVERYTHING from the camera angle to the position of the characters in the frame, which we saw in the Russian "adaptation" of the film "How I Met Your Mother", as it turned out, is not the worst decision. We see the worst in The Mentalist. One day my father told his younger brother that he could not buy him a new car due to lack of money. My brother (he was 3 years old) was inspired and drew money for dad. The author of the script for "Pseudomentalist" did about the same. He conveyed only general features, completely forgetting about details, about dramatic pauses and tips for the viewer. Its main character acts without logic and cause-and-effect relationships. His discoveries are ridiculous and far-fetched. He is squalid and implausible. Summary: Watch the first episode to see if negative reviews are fair. Then turn it off. If you haven't seen the original film, be sure to watch. If you want something new, "Trace" is better. Much better.
