The Golden Horde series watch online for freeThirteenth century. Russia. Mengu-Temir arrived from the camp of the Golden Horde to the capital to take Russian soldiers with him. The envoy is greedy for beautiful women, so he is ready to exchange some of the people for Princess Ustinya. Prince Yaroslav will have to think about the most important decision, because giving his brother Boris to his wife is equal to betraying the latter. However, Boris himself makes a sacrifice, believing that such generosity to the people will allow him to take the throne. Ustinya, meanwhile, is in the hands of Mengu. The Great Khan sends to the capital of Russia in gratitude the beautiful Nargiz, who awakens the icy heart of Yaroslav. He understands that he faces a serious choice: either he will completely plunge into the pool of love and passion, or he will follow his people, which is against the representative of the Horde near the Russian throne.
As for the authenticity of the historical side of the film. Everything that concerns the period of the Golden Horde is still controversial. Scientists disagree. Even the very concept of Mongols does not have its own clear historical registration. I like the hypothesis that the Horde is everything that is not the middle zone of Russia, in the old days the Moscow principality. Then it grew with Siberia and other principalities, which everyone knows about, and which, in my opinion, were the Horde. And the headquarters of the Horde, maybe one of them, near Astrakhan in Saray Batu, near the village of Selitrennoye. That's when historians are fully determined on this issue, then we will demand the reliability of historical facts in historical cinema.
I was very impressed with the film. I read the comments and am surprised how much he stirred up a lot of negative things in people. This is just one version of the artistic rethinking of the course of that time, a fairy tale, if you like.At the same time, the film is very good, not because the scriptwriter and director adhered to historical facts, but because the spirit of that time was conveyed: cruel internecine wars, dynastic marriages and collusion and intrigue. And of course, the main love line just takes the soul, in the end my soul was simply torn from despair and such a typical story for that time. Excellent directorial work, the work of costume designers and actors. Ustyugov played just great, beyond praise. The heroes of that time are shown simply by people: who make mistakes, love, suffer, but in difficult times rise above themselves and acquire real greatness. The film is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent, so I definitely recommend it for viewing. I didn't even expect that I would like the film so much. I thought another passing story. But no, all the characters turned out to be reliable, interesting, "convex" and real. And the plot twists are sometimes joyful, sometimes unexpected, sometimes tragic. In general, like life itself. Indeed, the film was reminiscent of Outlander in places. So watch, empathize with the main characters and have fun watching!
Well, I mustered up patience and watched the Golden Horde series to the end. I will say right away that I did not like it. Absolutely. I understand that the authors insured themselves with the initial credits, that everything that happens on the screen is fiction. But then name it differently. We are shown some kind of mixture of fantasy with historical absurdity ... The only thing that pleasantly struck was the work of the artists, on costumes, on the interior. Again, without being tied to a time frame. For a long time I have not seen such beautiful costumes with thoughtful smallest details, lovingly tailored. Acting, yes, they play well, with passions, so to speak. Indeed, as mentioned above, the same forest is ridiculous, as the filming of some scenes, as it were, of the surroundings of different Russian cities. And the steppe could be shown more beautifully. Not paying attention to certain wild blunders, for me puts the series on a par with similar "supposedly about history" American cinema. For example, the same movie "Troy" ... Absolute nonsense. And I would like Russian filmmakers to show better quality historical films in all respects than "Viking", "Golden Horde".
I read the reviews of other members of the site, watch the series and wonder. Yes, the series is really interesting, but history buffs will hardly be to their liking, and certainly will not be a guide for the younger generation as a material for studying the History of the Fatherland. The series was created by the authors with a note that the plot does not claim to be authentic and is a figment of fantasy and may contain fiction. And it is immediately visible. Periods of government and some historical events, costumes and other clothes do not correspond, and sometimes differ from each other. The series is most likely created as a story, with smoother rough edges of our centuries-old history, in order to cover up the dark, unpleasant moments in it, in order to raise the patriotic spirit of the viewer. Here are foreign directors who shoot films based on history, without the authenticity or reliability of what has been described, and their work is a success, the example of "Vikings". Domestic filmmakers taught us that if they shoot a movie in which historical characters are involved, then it is historically reliable, but this cannot be applied to this work. Like a fairy tale, for the pastime at the TV screens, and on this site at the PC monitors, the series is definitely suitable, an interesting and high-quality picture, music, cast and performance of roles at a good level. The plot is also not bad. But, nevertheless, it would be better if the funds spent on the series were invested in historically accurate events, and not the fantasies of the scriptwriter, then there would be much more benefits from the work. However, even without this, the series should not be disregarded, if we completely abstract from the established template "A historical character in a movie means this is a movie about our past." My rating for this series is 8 stars out of 10
At times you can watch, but on the whole, not only does it not correspond to reality, but in general it is complete nonsense .. Starting from the lie that the Russian prince is sitting when the messenger Khan Mengu comes to him, in reality the princes stood up and held the bridle of the Mongols' horses, a lie that the Mongol could to bring Mongolians as a gift to the Russian prince and in general what an interracial passion ... there was no such thing that the Polovtsians or the Mongols-Tatars would mix with the Russians in such a way, also the Russians mostly only with their own and were and this is normal ... I understand that the series is Russian, but the Russians were presented as such heroes, and the Mongols are so wild ... They completely turned the story around and the scriptwriters are not ashamed !!
The film is a fierce pseudo-historical nonsense. Moreover, the creators of this "masterpiece" are not at all embarrassed by this, on the contrary, they are even proud of it: "Look, you have taken apart our nonsense about the Viking by the bones, and then we dashingly got out and said ourselves that it was nonsense." It is commendable, of course, that the patient began to regain consciousness a little, but nevertheless, we have before us a specific patient, namely the first channel of Russian public television. You should neither watch nor even discuss this opus. I was hooked by other reviewers, namely Evgenia Nizhnik, who declares about Prince YaroslavL, especially the Great. What kind of prince Yaroslavl is, especially since, according to Eugenia, the 8th century in the series and suddenly the Golden Horde appeared here is a mystery. Some incomprehensible Polovtsians who disappeared by the 12th century from the historical arena, etc. etc. Watch strictly the audience with knowledge of the history of the level of Evgenia Nizhnik, namely, at 2 huge disadvantages. The rest go to the tavern.
An interesting series, especially fanatics of the historical genre. The series shows the eighth century, Prince Yaroslav gathers the Russian principality in order to resist the Mongol yoke. For me, the series is interesting for its historical facts and fiction elements. The plot intersects with another famous TV series about Marco Polo, but this series allows you to see the picture from the other side, and also differs in a vivid picture due to beautiful scenery, character costumes, and excellent landscapes .. I recommend it to viewers who are crazy about the history of their people, and also love the historical genre in principle. 16+
This series does not claim the authenticity of the historical past of the Russian people and their entourage - we are transported to the end of the 8th century and see the history of the Grand Duke of Yaroslavl and his battle with the Tatar-Mongol yoke and his desire to unite all the princes to defeat the Tatars. in the film there are bright costumes of the characters, scenery, decoration in cells and landscapes. It is possible that the past could have looked like this ... Good acting. The lines of love, friendship, duty to the Motherland and faith in God are revealed. The film is intended for family viewing. +16.
Quite an interesting movie! Especially will please those who love the history of the Russian people, the Russian state! The plot is addictive! Wonderful acting! Magic and colorful costumes, landscapes and decorations will take your breath away! I was attracted to watching this film by the facts that almost a whole city was built for the filming of the film and about a thousand actors were involved! I believe that this film can tell a lot, especially for our younger generation! It reveals the theme of love, power, family ties and relationships between friends and relatives. I recommend to watch it even for those who do not know how to kill time, or have watched all the famous TV series! The plot is designed for viewers aged 16 and over!
