Anime "First Step". tells us about the hard life of a simple, poor guy who starts boxing. This is not just an anime about boxing, it tells us about hard work, perseverance, friendship and achieving goals. Makunouchi, the main character, is shown to be very weak at first, but after months of hard training he becomes stronger and even more stubborn. Drawing anime is done pretty well for his age. This anime is very motivating after watching. I just want to buy gloves and go to the gym to train. As you watch it, you seem to be living the whole event with the hero of the story, as if you yourself become his friend, worried about him. I can say that for those people who are somehow connected with sports, this anime will be to their liking, even if you are not a fan of this genre, look, you will not regret it. The anime keeps you on your toes and the staging of the fights is amazing. Personally, I believe that such works can and should be watched. Leaves only positive impressions.
Ippo Makunouchi is a weakling, insecure freak, gets a chance to change from life. And he clings to this chance as the last opportunity to achieve something in this life. The boy does not immediately become a superboxer, as is customary in many comics, where once you are a superhero. Here it is completely different, he essentially starts from the very bottom and rises higher step by step.Incredible efforts, incredible work on oneself, respect for each of their future rivals, understanding and adequate assessment of their abilities. The genre of shinoon about friendship and brotherhood in this anime was revealed in its full sense. Despite the fact that this genre is designed for an audience of 12-13 years old, this particular anime is watched with pleasure by people from 30 and above. It is not known how reliable some boxing techniques are, under the type of "flickering jab" nevertheless the anime looks, not just looks, but captures completely and completely. The scenario is not one-sided, there is no clear division into good and evil, there is life with all its versatility. Friends of the "idiots" are generally a separate topic, I think without such touches in this anime, it would not be complete and so memorable. Many unexpected things. I want to watch and grow with the hero.
You cannot call me any connoisseur of animated cartoons. In my entire life, I have not reviewed so many of them. And then, probably, only under the influence of some general fashion. It was in the nineties, when we were just introduced to this genre. To say that I was impressed is to say nothing. Today I would like to share my impressions of one of these animated films. Why did I highlight "First Step"? Because it is more realistic than other paintings. Here you will not see the confrontation between "good" and "evil", "black" and "white", which is always loved by Japanese animators, with the use of some incomprehensible aliens, magic rituals and monsters. Not. "First Step" is an animated series made in the genre of animated films with an absolutely fresh theme. The theme of sports. By the way, by the way, I don’t remember that I’ve seen cartoons about boxing before (don’t take into account the series "Just wait!"). In real life, I really respect not only boxing, but also martial arts, although I don't really understand them. In general, on TV screens, they often try to transfer martial arts. These attempts cannot always be called successful. Often, even a good film about interesting heroes, their love and relationships, about their difficulties with which they struggle from day to day, cannot convey the skill and skills in martial arts. Everything seems to be good, until it comes to the martial arts themselves, their content leaves much to be desired. But I absolutely radically changed my mind after watching the animated series "First Step". Having watched quite a few films about boxing (not because I'm some kind of unreal fan of this sport, it's just that if they are making films about sports, then, as a rule, about power, and then there is no way without boxing), to be honest, I did not expect nothing good and I was very pleased that this anime made me change my mind, that not everything is so bad and the authors can still shoot something worthy. This is a rather funny animated series, ideal for fans of the sports genre. I am very glad that I nevertheless decided to watch this series on the advice of friends, I honestly did not dare to admit it for a long time, because I did not expect anything good. But still interesting was able to take over me. From the first minutes of watching, I immediately had a not very good impression, I even had a desire to turn it off, the thought that the Japanese would obviously not be able to film anything good about boxing haunted me. If you remember cartoons from childhood, then the first thing that comes to my mind is cartoons about samurai, ninjas, Pokemon and various superheroes who are fighting with some aliens, and here - boxing, this could not put in my head, what good is possible expect from this plot. I looked at it very biasedly and did not try to find anything new. But after looking at the characters and the way they play, I completely changed my mind. I can say for sure that this animated series is just a masterpiece, I have not watched anything better yet. After watching the first season, I just could not get enough of it, starting to watch the second season right away. Everything looked so easy and not forced that I simply did not notice how quickly time flew by, I could not tear it away not for a second. The plot of the anime series "First Step" tells about the life of a young and talented guy who is very modest and shy, peers very often bully and beat him at school. It would seem that in every school there is such an “ugly duckling” that peers will scoff at, I think that each of us, remembering our school years, will have the same similar classmate. But it is worth noting that Ippo is the main character, has quite good physical qualities, and if it were not for his shy nature, he could quite stand up for himself. Ippo was able to acquire this kind of physical fitness through his family and family business. But one day Ippo Makunochi is attacked by hooligans and brutally beat him, by a lucky chance he is saved by a boxer named Tukamura. He brings the boy to the gym so that he comes to his senses a little. Waking up, the first thing Ippo hears is the blows of boxing gloves on the pear, and this is where all the fun begins. The boy understands that this is his chance to become the same as his savior, strong and independent. He decides, no matter what, not to miss this gift of fate and become an invincible champion. While watching how he gradually walks up the stairs, learns martial arts skills, traditions, I admit honestly, I even had the idea to do not boxing myself, of course, but for example wushu, everything was presented so interesting that it is simply impossible not to miss through yourself and not reflect on your life. The anime series “First Step” is full of various and incredible duels that will take your breath away. This is perhaps even cooler than watching boxing on TV. At least there is some sense here, and not just a fierce battle. From such intensity and worries about the main character, you can simply leave the chair without handles. The story about the main character is so addictive that I sat in suspense from the beginning of the fight to the very end, waiting for the one who would win, deep down worried about Ippo. Don't think that I am just describing the plot. I described that this series is, first of all, life. He will not be able to leave you indifferent. It seems to me that it is even useful for viewing for those people who lack self-confidence. This is the psychological context of Step One. It is very difficult to deal with your inner fears and try to somehow overcome yourself, but this must be done. And you need to do this as soon as you realize your problem, just as the main character of this animated cartoon did. In general, the Japanese are famous for their philosophical thinkers for a reason. I was somehow skeptical about them before. But I realized that I was wrong. Maybe I don’t always agree with their interpretation (I’m not a fan of anime, but rather not because it’s bad, but because it’s unusual. But TV shows like "The First Step", it seems to me, promote willpower and sports. Something is not working out for you now, there is no need to despair. Everything will definitely work out. Let not immediately, let it be worth making an effort. In general, I can say that this cartoon is meaningful. It is also well executed graphically. There is something to watch. The portrayal of the characters is very accurate. You can immediately understand who is good and who is bad. Young viewers will surely appreciate it. Music also adds a lot of charm to the series. Not everything that comes out on television can be watched, but First Step, as for me, is a very successful project by Japanese scriptwriters. It is unlikely that I will ever dare to review it again, but this is not necessary. It reveals the whole meaning from the first viewing. What is remarkable, I didn’t even understand whether I like watching the adventures of the protagonist or how he overcame the difficulties of fate. Such pictures should come out. They are still relevant in our time. They can teach something good. In the "First Step", despite the fact that there are many fights, there is absolutely no cruelty and violence at all. And this, I must admit, is brilliant. Make a film about wrestling without using "forbidden techniques". "The First Step" can compete in its fullness not only with animated series, but also with the same full-length feature films. Something like that. Such cartoons have a place to be. And if they are of the same quality, which appeared on our television screens "First Step", then soon they may oust their non-animated "opponents". In the meantime, I wish you to enjoy the technique of martial arts together with the courageous and brave hero Ippo. Enjoy your evening watching the interesting and controversial Japanese animated series "First Step".
